Silly man. Herd immunity works because once we reach a high enough level, the virus dies out. It has no more living hosts where it can replicate.
Like smallpox did.
What do you think, that viruses keep floating around in the air for eternity hoping to land on somebody who's not immune? The individual organisms don't live that long. They have to replicate for their specie to survive.
