the chaos and carnage around them while people calmly walked by. at one point the guy on cnn actually said "you can't see them now, but there were insurrectionists standing on cars aggressively waving flags while shouting loudly, clearly attempting to deny our viewers of their right to an independent press!"

later they speculated what nightfall would bring, again as people calmly walked by, surmising that the national guard should be prepared to defend themselves against explosive devices.
