If it was a member of Pence's security detail, was Pence there or was the officer blocking the access to which Pence had just exited? Break into the capital and approach the POTUS/VP, who has secret service protection and you're probably going to get shot.
From the SS perspective, she was just the first of an ensuing mob - she wasn't coming through the barricaded doors alone.
What did she deserve Einsal - the presidential medal of freedom?
