Consume the same calories that you burn on a daily basis and your weight will remain stable.
Consume more calories than you burn on a daily basis and you will gain weight.
Fasting does not work as it is not sustainable.
A consistent regimen of a healthy diet and exercise never fails to make people lose weight. Never! It is when someone places unreasonable expectations on the speed of that weight loss that can be achieved and maintained that the backsliding to their old gluttonous and slothful habits reappear.
