He was 100% responsible for the scheme we ran the year.
If Haith had been part of that, we would have continued to see some of that scheme in the subsequent years. We also would not have seen Haith ask Ernie what to do in every single critical time out of that season. People want to pretend that didn’t happen now, but it was something that was greatly discussed at the time. Any time in a tight moment that there was a time out, Haith always stepped to the side and talked to Nestor before addressing the team.
The credit goes to a senior leading team who felt slighted and had something to prove, and Nestor for helping them put together an offensive attack that fit their ability. Haith gets credit for helping the players drive and desire to blossom and for getting out of their way and not jerking them around with unpredictable substitution patterns and inconsistent roles like Anderson had the year before
Any reasonable person knows that there is no way that team has the same success if Anderson is still the coach, and they also do not have the same success if Haith is totally in charge of that team and does not have the assistance of an older and more experienced tactician
