Difficult to know what to make of these recent games, SIU seemed to truly give up in the second half.
It looks safe to say that MU has numerous scorers this year and that’s a clear improvement from last year.
Dickson looks like a guard ( off guard ? ) who needs to play lots when SEC starts.
With some many scoring options , and shooters, Pingeton probably has to be in the process of narrowing down the rotation.
Scorers who turn the ball over probably risk playing time the most.
In the first half it seemed possible that Pingeton might have been sending a message to Blackwell about shot selection, playing within the offense.
Last years team was so short on talent that Pingeton had few options.
Maybe the level of success this team can achieve will be dependent on the coaches ability to get the key players to play within themselves . If Blackwell and Dickson play under control this team might be better than it looked against Mo State.
