Trump has never been a traditional conservative

And never claimed to be one. But in some key ways he has done more for the conservative cause than so many before him:
- The courts are much stronger from a conservative standpoint than before his presidency
- He stood up for life more so than any president before him
- He stood up for the USA first and foremost, unapologetically and repeatedly
- Most of all, he has fleshed out those (in politics and even on this board) who prefer the GOP of John McCain and Mitt Romney, the GOP of "take it and get along" while getting rolled again and again. And I have no desire to be around those kind of people ever again.
The man certainly has his faults. And many of his problems now are of his own creation. But I will be forever thankful for his presidency and what he has awakened in so many. There is some truth that a person is often best understood and known by looking at their enemies. In Trump's case, this alone is a ringing endorsement.
