that those who desire to decriminalize marijuana also complain about the "opioid epidemic."

THC consumption in adolescents and young adults may very well lead to latent increased opioid dependence in future generations, according to recent(ish) research at Harvard. Which seems to check out regarding the kids of the 1960's hippies driving the opioid epidemic.

This seems like maybe not such a good idea. Or maybe it is. It's a super ass complicated and nuanced problem, to be sure.
