to all Americans, is why is the federal tax code over 15,000 pages long?
It isn't because it is a tool for equitable taxation to fund whatever people think is the legitimate role of the federal government.
It isn't really a tax code, it is a well designed document picking crony capitalism winners and an instrument to be used as a political baseball bat by both sides.
Anything more than what can be written on a single sheet of loose leaf paper is ripe for corruption under cover of "law".
