would ever happen, I think the most likely area would be eastern WA, eastern OR, eastern CA, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and a few other areas that border those. These areas want no part of Seattle/SF/Portland politics and wouldn't have as much interior resistance. Texas these days would have a ton more resistance.
