And the argument that "putting Michigan's logo on our helmet is okay because Michigan doesn't" is asinine. We could put Bama's logo on our helmet using that logic.
And the "we've used the Block M logo for decades" reply is flawed too, because to 99.999% of the world it is *Michigan's* logo, and therefore it promotes Michigan's brand.
One of the best things Alden did (along with hiring Pinkel and facilitating our move to the SEC) was giving MU its own logo and identity. It was well-received at the time, and most fans today still think the logo is sharp.
