There is proof that covid spreads rampantly through restaurants. The chinese found this out early in the pandemic. Central air circulates the virus.

Also almost all big box retailers off curbside service. If you're dining in a restaurant or going to a church you are more at risk due to the closeness of people and length of time you are there.
Also mask utilization in restaurants are probably at a minimum just due to the nature of the establishment.
