with only 8 non conference games leading into the SEC season.
Wonder how many games will be cancelled before we play again. The next scheduled games are:
Wednesday Dec 2 Morehead St
Sunday Dec 6 TCU
Thursday Dec 10 @ Texas Tech
Sunday Dec 13 Missouri St
With the SEC COVID protocols, at least the next 2 games will have to be cancelled, right? And maybe the Texas Tech road game?
We could really use more games for this team to work out the lineups before the big game with MO State on December 13.
By my unofficial count (following the ESPN scoreboard) here are the numbers of WBB games already cancelled due to COVID issues just 4 days into the season:
Wednesday: 26 games
Friday: 5 games
Saturday: 19 games
Today: 13 games
63 games in all. In just 4 playing days.
And the nation is walking headlong into the worst part of the recent surge in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. People who understand the science say December and January are going to be brutal. You have to wonder how long college basketball keeps going under these circumstances.
