Gab came up with an extension for Chrome browsers that allowed users to comment on any page to overcome website censors who deleted comments of people whose opinions they disagreed with.

Google ended up blacklisting the extension & later on so did Brave.

Gab ended up making their own broser based upon Brave, but with a little extra privacy/security features if I recall, and had the free speech commenting built in:
