I don't expect Mizzou to make any coaching changes in men's basketball after this season, even if the team has a disappointing season. Martin is owed $6 million - on top of his $3 million salary - if he's let go after this coming season. Missouri isn't in position financially to pay for a head coach to go away - especially a head coach who doesn't get in NCAA trouble, develops model citizens and is well liked within the department. The athletics department is cutting salaries, laying off employees, putting others on furloughs. The department will see at least a 25-percent revenue drop this year. That might be a conservative estimate. If the scenarios were different - the buyout were cheaper and revenues were up instead of down - then he'd be under more pressure to win this year. But in the current conditions, I don't foresee any changes from the school's end.
