Yesterday we had 145,000 new cases of COVID diagnosed

The current fatality rate of those diagnosed is 2.3%
in the US. So that means that about 3,335 Americans were given a death sentence yesterday. They will be dead within a few weeks. More people than were killed in the 9-11 attacks, killed by COVID-19 in just one day.
At that rate, 10,000 souls every 3 days.
But to some here it's just CASES!!! CASES!!! CASES!!! Something to make bedwetting jokes about. Just another subject to be cute and clever about on Tigerboard.
Seems like a pretty serious subject to me, not something to be treated with flippancy. An examination of the conscience might be in order.
