terrible screen execution. Most of the time the ballhandler either doesn't let the pick get set or doesn't rub his defender off on the pick. He allows room for him to go over the top of the screen which many times results in a foul on the screener because he tries to lean to pick the defender off. Then the screener turns his back on the ball and runs behind his defender down the opposite side of the lane to the block and just stands there. He is almost never open for a pass and never actually successfully screens anyone. The entire movement is just a waste of shot clock that usually never results in a positive play. It's baffling to watch it happen over and over. At some point you have to just assume that's what the coaches want because it never changes.
