But yes, the story would be they used a series of very specific watermarks on mail in ballots. It was not widely known but all done legally. One reason Trump would not drop the issue if mail in ballots, and ranted on and on in the debates, is that he wanted this issue well known and wanted to make sure the media was talking about it. They wanted a full 9 member Supreme Court seated as this would likely wind up there.

Could be nothing. But, if true, it would make it very easy to identify all mail in ballots that were not official US Government issued.
