to figure him out in order to get his best. It was key to have some arc or air under the ball. He was on of the best receivers ever at MU when the pass was, say, over 15 yards with enough arc. He really shined at out-battling the DB for the ball.
Kam Scott was long strider fast, but not quick. So he needed to be moving and not reliant on quick cuts to get open. He also had good skills with the ball in the air. Even the Lock to Kam touchdown inside, medium "slant" at The Swamp was just perfect.
It's not just about "gettin' good players", magnify strengths/minimize weaknesses.
