My Spectrum TV guide absolutely has the game on SEC Alternate and I'm recording. I would bank on SEC Alternate but understand that doesn't solve everyone's recording problem. This is one of the main reasons I'm not getting rid of cable just yet (yes, I'm wasting money). I assume there will be significant consolidation over the next few years and some of this chaos will go away.
