The air raid has always been fun to watch but his defenses were always so-so. So he's in the Mark Richt, Bo Pellini, good but not great HC area. Last time he played after 12/31 was 2009 (which technically he didn't coach). He's able to win between 7-9 games regularly. Only twice has won more than 9 (11 games with TT and WS). So no, when he joined, along with Kiffin, I predicted both would have a hard time given the teams they were starting with. Also said I was glad to have Drinkwitz over both because the difference is both of those guys will pretty much have the same game plan game in game out. In researching Drink, it stood out that he built a team around its strengths and adjusted the game plan to the opponent. Our worry, IMO, will be keeping him. He's a runaway bride historically. Hopefully, he wants stability for his family, we start attending the GD games, and pay him to stay. You want to draw out of state students? Have a great football program. Want in state players want to stay in state? Have a great football program. Want revenue? Have a great football program. Tell your friends how good this program is. We need to get the word out there.
