As noted in this piece, there is an growing view that covid19 will move from pandemic to endemic status, that even with a vaccine it will make an annual reappearance each fall and winter.

If that were to happen, it would seem there are numerous and potentially serious implications for spectator sports. I.e. will empty or socially distanced stadiums become the standard among many others?
