in their 12-point loss at Fayetteville on Saturday.
11 times!... That's hard to fathom.
Both of Arky's wins were against the Mississippi schools, and both were predicated on high turnover rates. Here's how their opponents fared against their defense, through the first 4 games:
• Georgia (winner) scored 37 points, gained 387 yards, and had 3 turnovers (1 INT, 1 fumble, 1 via downs)
• Miss State (loser) scored 14 points, gained 400 yards, and had 6 turnovers (3 INT, 1 fumble, 2 via downs)
• Auburn (winner) scored 30 points, gained 446 yards, and had 0 turnovers
• Ole Miss (loser) scored 21 points, gained 442 yards, and had 11 turnovers (6 INT, 1 fumble, 4 via downs)
Opponent Average: 26 points, 418 yards, 5 turnovers
You can see a theme here. Arkansas's defense is porous but can overcome that weakness against teams that are extremely careless with the ball (e.g. 6+ turnovers). So ball security/turnover margin will be key against them.
