I was talking more about motivation to vote.
If the Dems were successful to block the nomination (or delay), that would move a lot of Trump supporters to go vote.
If she gets the nomination, that motivates some dems to go vote for the Repubs being hypocrites from how they played 2016 and wanting to make sure they get the next Justice.
As far as behavior, you have three camps. Those that simply don't care and will vote for their party regardless....those that do care but still feel compelled to vote for one party or the other...those that are so sick of it that they will refuse to vote or vote for a third party.
At the leadership level, any behavior has been thrown out to go for the thirst of power..one of the reasons I just ignore it now..it is noise...the problem is the power....which is why the behavior.
You pretty much hit it on the head to some extent with Snowden not being pardoned....the same with Trump's refusal to stop using FISA, which is ripe for abuse and even shown it has been used for abuse.
