I don't think the 178k students is accurate

since that 178k likely is referring to the 178k that involves college associated students and non-students.

If you are proposing that there are more students who have likely been infected, than have been tested and confirmed to be infected, I think that's likely correct.

I couldn't say whether there have been more than 178k students infected though, have no idea. Don't know how many of that 178k represent students and how many represent non-students.
