The GOP has had 15 of the last 19 SCOTUS nominees. Having a 6-3 split means Roberts or whomever the swing vote might be is no longer a swing vote. The court would be free to thwart the will of the people. 4 new judges would make it a 7-6 split, and swing the court to a majority liberal position for the first time in over 50 years
