Kim was considerably more qualified, was more respected, possessed at least some of the required skill set, was of average intelligence, put forth considerably more effort toward the job, and failed to less of a degree.
Granted he was absurdly unqualified, not respected in any way, possessed almost none of the required skill set for the role, was not particularly bright, put an astounding lack of effort and energy into the role, and was a historic failure to the degree he was arguably the worst D1 coach of all time and certainly the worst D1 hire ever. But outside of being hired for the same reasons (uninformed stupid/old people ludicrously thought it was a good idea, and he simply wouldn't quit after it immediately became obvious he couldn't do the job) he was vastly more suited for that role than Trump is his, and even though he destroyed MU basketball not nearly to the degree of damage Trump inflicts at a wider scale.
I believe that is an unfair comparison.
