If you improve week in week out, the Ws and Ls don't matter

Pinkel was always working forward. Not so good a game coach, his attention to getting his team to perform across the board is where he excelled. So in a year where Drinkwitz wasn't allowed to put his scheme in, develop his players, whisper to his QBs, that's all happening now. We have a rough base (playing the most likely National Champion) doesn't allow to get a sense of where you're at so you just have to look at how the team performed given the opponent.
