If you improve week in week out, the Ws and Ls don't matter

Pinkel was always working forward. Not so good a game coach, his attention to getting his team to perform across the board is where he excelled. So in a year where Drinkwitz wasn't allowed to put his scheme in, develop his players, whisper to his QBs, that's all happening now. We have a rough base (playing the most likely National Champion) doesn't allow to get a sense of where you're at so you just have to look at how the team performed given the opponent. So it's looking for improvement forward, not seeing stagnation or falling backwards. The wins will come with improvement and the establishment of his vision.
