you get spring training...then the focus of the early games...then as NBA and NHL does their championships, they continue to play in the background.

MLB makes for great summer evenings...watch the game at the bar or at home after it gets dark..or a nice evening out.

Then you get the pennant race along side football...you get the World Series as the football seasons hit their mid season.

Probably one of the few sports where the regular season truly separates the pretenders from the contenders.
