problem is to get state money they need students and they refuse to expel thugs and gang bangers which isn't conducive to a good learning environment - at least that's how it used to be. My sister-in-law taught there and dropped dead from a heart attack at the age of 50 in part due to the stress.
Columbia hired the former chief financial officer of the Riverview district in 2017. Fired her in 2018 when they discovered she embezzled money previously. Sentenced to 3 years but given probation.
Riverview did have good sports teams at one time. My son was co-captain of the wrestling team as a senior. They had a guy who would have had a good chance to be a state champion and wrestle in college but he had to work a job after school to support his Mom and siblings. Didn't have time to go to practice. Typical story in that district.
