There’s 2 separate questions in Tilmon

Has he lived up to the hype? The answer is no. Has he lived up to the 4 star rating? I think the answer is yes.
The hype on Tilmon didn’t match his recruiting ranking. The game has also changed so a lot of the expectations on him are based on how bigs were used 10, 15 or 20 years ago.
Offensively bigs are now screeners and role/pop guys. Offensively there wasn’t a big difference over the last 10-12 games between what Nikko gave you vs what Tilmon did. Defensively is where he makes a bigger difference. Mizzou is rebounded better when he was in the game.
If Mizzou continues to run this offense the big should score about 10-12 points in about 20-25 minutes. If the big does more it probably means that the guards are playing really well and stretching the defense out.
