Good move on the part of the SEC.
8 matches against 4 teams. Instead of about 30 matches against 24 teams. Limits travel and limits exposure.
Basically the SEC is flipping the fall and spring seasons, playing 8 glorified exhibition matches this fall (maybe), that mean absolutely nothing, and count as nothing (like spring exhibitions), and hoping to play the competitive fall season with championships in the spring. Conditions permitting, that is. Which is not at all guaranteed.
