first, he knew it would not be taken, and second he has proven he does not want free trade.
He banned steel from China (and other countries) for national security reasons
His NAFTA replacement forced min wages similar to US autoworker wages.
He has not said a word about debt. After his trillions in spending spree this year, he only has two choices....deep cuts (none of which he has advocated since coming into office) or some tax hikes, of which he opposes.
It is amazing how many people talk about all the freedoms despite evidence to the contrary.
