COLUMBIA – The FBI arrested 40-year-old Michael M. Karmo and 33-year-old Cody E. Smith, both of Missouri, Tuesday in a town near Kenosha, Wis. for firearms-related offenses.
A news release from the Eastern District of Wisconsin's US Attorney's office said Karmo was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Smith was charged with aiding and abetting a felon's possession of a firearm, possession of firearms and ammunition by a prohibited person (misdemeanor domestic violence) and possession of firearms and ammunition by a prohibited person (unlawful user of a controlled substance.)
The release stated FBI agents found an AR-15 assault rifle, a Mossberg 500 AB 12-Gauge shotgun, two handguns, a silencer, ammunition, body armor and a drone.
The incident is still being investigated.
