Your memory might not be so clear as it relates to Mr. Dean's integrity.

He asked Dick Nixon for either qualified immunity or a guarantee of a pardon and when he was told to shove it, his "integrity" came to light.

Some might see him as a shameless self promoter, and in reality the guy who sat in on the original planning of the tactics adopted by Nixon's campaign, then turned tail when it got white hot on him, while his confederates went to jail for hard time.
