Socialism is. What you claim as socialism are programs to help a country’s citizens. That is far different from a full blown, socialist government that controls how and what people can do, own, earn, produce, etc. You know, the exact opposite of the free market system.

The radical left hates our way of government, hates the free market, individual ownership, wealth creation, etc. if your definition of socialism is having a few govt. programs, we are talking two different things.
