real seasons of MU basketball, the late 1990's is the only brief period that even approaches our current state in terms of lack of talent. There is no question recruiting has not been sufficient for a rebuild, and the scary thing is after next year we are facing huge roster turnover and a significant downgrade in talent. Even the players we have landed we have had considerable issues in retaining them, and we seem to take fliers on an inordinate amount of leaps of faith type of recruits.
I don't think a recruiting strategy focused on St. Louis is a viable approach at MU in my opinion. And we are seeing that play out again unfortunately. Cuonzo really needed to bring in new assistants this season with recruits attached to them and it is concerning we didn't.
