Even when they are wrong. The irony is if they simply said, “it doesn’t look like masks are having the effect we thought. We are trying everything possible and this was something we thought would move the needle and the truth is it hasn’t had the impact we hoped...”

Majority of people would understand that. But nooooooo they have to lie and deceive .. just to avoid facing the consequences of being wrong.
