The 'GOP' as you call them, is Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio or Lyin' Ted Cruz.

Any of these stiffs would have served admirably as a controlled-opposition president, just treading water until a Hillary or Biden or Buttgig could get in the saddle and do some real damage.

Heck, Trump has been HUNTING DOWN the effing Bush family of 9/11 fame.
