racial lines when socioeconomic is the better predictor. I wonder why that is?

A kid growing up in the hood is going to have much more in common with the rural white kid in a tailor park than the Obama kids. This goes for health, education, criminal history and addictions.

But for some reason we try to pretend that the differences have to do with the melanin content in ones skin as opposed to the life choices we make.
