They take over local TV stations, get to go on and on about the storm. It is their chance in the limelight so they just keep talking. They have their cute little maps that predict at what minute the storm will hit what town.
Most of the time the storm blows through and nothing happens. Every once in a while there will be some storm damage. People watch and watch hiding because the weatherman is saying how bad it is. Then 45 minutes later they step outside the storm has passed and they were not affected.
That is what this virus is for many health professionals. It is their time in the limelight. The storm approached and is here. People hiding in their basements while the health professionals are enjoying the attention to talk about their careers and how important they are.
It will blow over. Most people will have had nothing bad happen to them by the pandemic.
The real damage is coming from politicians who think they know what is best for everyone.
