this case the Manhattan office. She isn’t precluded from doing that at any point. Without seeing more information it is impossible to determine if there is sufficient evidence to support criminal prosecution. I think it would be fair to say that the AG’s office intends to go as far as they possibly can before relinquishing control by “handing” the case over to another agency. Regardless, this will be a long and drawn out process.
