lly after a country gets into the 20%+ infection rate.
Sweden has about a 21.92% infection rate estimated by using the CDC's estimate of a .26% infection fatality rate. Their new cases have dropped dramatically and so has their daily death rate attributed to COVID. They have been at or near zero new deaths for awhile now.

Peru is an exception at 23.57%, but even their daily new deaths appear to be dropping. They're still early in the curve, though. Perhaps that's due to a sub par health care system, or more likely that they're listening to the CDC's idiotic prohibition against using hydroxychloroquine.

The US hasn't dropped off as much as one might expect at an estimated 18.77% population infection rate, but that too could be due to the HCL prohibition or perhaps to a higher death toll from Cuomo's idiotic policy of infecting the NYC nursing homes which would have led to a higher estimated infection rate than is actually the case, or some combination of the two. Another possibility is the skewing of the daily death toll due to the politicization of the categorization of deaths.
