either is just silly and gives people like Blue and Rask their science deniers ammunition.

It may be higher by up to an order of magnitude.
150K US deaths - Not a fact
The numbers have been manipulated so much there is no way to tell. My guess would be maybe a quarter to a third were not really Covid but logged as such by direction of the CDC. And so hospitals can collect their Covid bounties from the govt.
More deadly than the flu - maybe a fact, maybe not.
Definitely a higher raw number depending on how much we have undercounted the positives it could turn out to be less deadly on a percentage basis.
Covid Panic - Fact
But a media created panic originally just to drive up clicks and views. Later for partisan political reasons.
