Economic Impact:
The University of Missouri adds a $5.4 billion annually to the state’s economy
Mizzou Athletics generates for the city of Columbia and found that the total economic impact came to a robust $247,160,770 in the 2013 fiscal year.
Mizzou Athletic Department:
2019 Fiscal Year, they made $107m in revenue.
Basically:
1) If the students don't come back and teaching is online, there will be a lot of closed businesses in Columbia
2) If football doesn't happen at all, the lack of broadcast media and sponsorship deals in addition to no ticket sales will be devastating to MU Athletics
3) If sports do happen, but no fans, it will actually not be as big of a hit as some might think, since ticket revenue only makes up about $17m of the $107m operating budget of the AD
