measurable objective. The people bought in and it actually worked.
But something else worked as well, mini-fascist across the nation observed how willing Americans were to give up their rights in the name of safety. Since then they have doubled down on the fear mongering to claim increasingly more control of the nation.
I was not in favor of the original lockdowns but understood they arose from our complete lack of knowledge at the time. We now have actual data to drive our decisions but are ignoring it in favor of political agendas.
