If you exclude the 2017 class as an anamoly, since Haith's staff left MU has signed 0 top 75 high school recruits. That is completely unsustainable in the SEC even if you have an excellent coach. If you are operating in the 100-250 range you might on rare occasions find an under-recruited talent that slipped through the cracks but those are unusual and you certainly don't want to have an entire team of them.
Our talent level may not be as low as the last two years of the Kim Anderson tenure. But its been lower under Cuonzo than at any other point since the late 1990's at MU. And we were a below .500 program struggling to make the NIT in the late 1990's too.
