first few minutes in the dining room. Workers are already behind shields and floors are marked for social distancing. I haven't been to McDonald's but everywhere else has already done this so i assume they have as well.

If they believe that their dining rooms are still unsafe then the prudent move would be to close them. But that would cost them money. The mask mandate makes them look concerned without actually costing them anything.
