Ridge was and likely still is the quintessential GOP establishment insider. The failure of those folks to develop and provide a candidate capable of winning the nomination and then the election in 2016 is the reason Trump is President. He and his fellow insiders who are lambasting Trump at every turn have no one to blame but themselves and their ineptness.
