Telling stories about how hard it was for him to afford childcare for his kids after his wife died and then adding how his new wife Jill was raising two school aged children all alone when they got married.
Pretty sure Joe was a wealthy senator when his wife died.
Also, Joe admitted later Jill's kids were not school age after all "now that I think about it".
